Deadlift hybrid?

I have always don't RDLs but it just occurred to me that when my new program says deadlift, it prolly means conventional. So, I watched tons of videos and I think I do a hybrid DL/RDL. Bar stays close to my legs, hinge at hip, knees slightly bent. But I can go all the way to the floor without my back rounding. Then I pop up and thrust my hips forward. Does this count as a deadlift?

What size plates did you have on the bar? If you used traditional weights anything under a 45# plate is going to put you going down a lot further that you should be and will most likely have you round your back some of your mobility isn't very good.
If this is the case I'd suggest using bumper plates to DL that way your distance down to the floor is reduced and you are able to stay more upright.
Ignore all that...
I just noticed you said... you can go all the way down without rounding your back.0 -
And the tutorial video that heybales posted is perfect. Have someone take a video and compare if you still aren't sure.0
