Hi everyone! I'm having my second baby and I'm in the second trimester. I'm ballooning weight-wise and need to really limit my risk of developing gestational diabetes FAST. Obviously don't want to loose any weight, I just want to be encouraged to eat as healthy as possible and monitor my nutritional intake so baby and I are in the best shape possible. Anyone else in the same boat?? Be good to hear from you!

Hi psychpostgrad, I'm kind of in a similar boat but I've already been diagnosed with gestational diabetes now at 36 weeks pregnant so I'm working to limit the impacts of it over these final weeks. I'm purely diet controlled at present so we're working on the same thing really.

How have you found it? Did you get insatiable thirst at the start?

No, no symptoms at all! I'm only 4/5 days in at the moment but so far, it's going well. Very much trial and error but I haven't had any real highs, one fasting slightly above and one bedtime reading slightly above. I think I need to introduce snacks and make meals a little smaller so that I'm eating little and often.

    How are you getting on?
