Painful hands and wrists/arthritis

I suffer from mildly arthritic joints, especially in my hands and wrists- partly as a symptom of an autoimmune condition and partly age,I suspect.
I recently switched from a body weight programme to strong lifts and my hands and wrists are getting increasingly inflamed. Any tips? Or should I switch back to bodyweight? It sounds trivial but when it gets to the point where you have to ask someone to open a jar for you,you know it's time to do something! I should be doing the programme today but am having to skip it.

Why not check with your specialist regarding whether heavy lifting is safe for you in light of the arthritis, particularly if your dealing with auto immune/rheumatoid type arthritis as well as age related, wear and tear osteo arthritis.

Having functional hands is a really useful thing. You don't want to wreck them.

Talk to your doc about the specifics of your lifting program; weight, repetition, grip. See what they have to say about it,
