I am getting serious about tracking my macros. Are they ok at what I set them to.

I am currently 366 pounds and do not exercise besides house work.

Protein should be higher. Maybe try 35% protein and fat and 30% carbs. Ultimately to lose weight you just need to maintain a calorie deficit which 1900 is going to create a deficit. Focus on the calories and if you don't meet your macros don't stress it.

Calories are what matters for weight loss, but I do agree that your protein goal is pretty low (not to mention calories...I'm a 240-pound female and I eat that much to lose)

^^ what she said lol carbs usually aren't your highest macro. You'll lose weight either way as long as you're in calorie deficit but usually carbs are your lowest.

There's nothing wrong with eating more carbs for most people

I'd leave fat where is; up protein (1g per lbs of lean muscle mass if you know it) and up carbs - 1900 seems low but if you are going to eat back workout calories

Here is a handy calculator to work out how much protein you need a day.

    http://www.calculator.net/protein-calculator.html

Amount of Protein Human Body Needs

The amount of protein needed daily by human body relies on many conditions. Normally it is estimated based on the body weight (0.8-1.8 gram/kg of body weight), or as a percentage of Total Calories intake (10%-35%), or simply based on age.

Once you have worked that out then play around with your fats and carbs to work out what works best for you.

Deannalfisher, if they did that, it wouldn't add up to 100%.

My point - calories seem too low and if they eat back exercise calories (which MFP is based on) then yes they will have more calories to eat

Macros are about two things for most people: helping you control the type of calories you eat and eating enough protein to maintain muscle mass (or enough fat to properly absorb vitamins). Caloric deficit is what will get you weight loss.

I also agree you're planning to eat too little; I'm only 175lbs or so, and I eat 1800 to lose. You could absolutely be eating more and still creating a large (but safe) deficit. As far as your macros settings, I would likely shift 5% from your carbs to your protein. 95g is awfully low for your current body weight and protein and fats tend to keep people feeling satiated longer than carbs do. There is however nothing wrong with eating at 45% carbs if you choose to. It's all an experiment really haha.

I would recommend upping the protein a bit and lowering the carbs a bit to help you stay full longer. I found this made it easier for me to stay within my allotted calories. Since you stated you don't do much exercise, just stick within your 1,900 calorie per day limit and you should start seeing some losses.

Best of luck on your journey!!
