After my surgery, getting back to life.

Hi, my name is Claudia and I'm a 28yo mom of two and wife. It's been two years since I had surgery on my lower back. My life was turned upside down when I couldn't walk anymore. Two weeks of testing, pain and laying in a bed, fully medicated on a cocktail of pain relievers just to be able to move my toes, I found out I had nerve damage. Disks in my lower back were damaged along with nerves. Surgery was my only hope to maybe walk again. Maybe being the keyword and when I heard this from the doctor it was a huge shock. The surgery went great though, a month of training my body to walk again and then the next year and a half of pt that followed. Here I am now, 2 years later, 60 lbs heavier (just happy I can still walk) and starting the steps to loose this weight off. It has been a hard 2 years but I am not letting any of it keep me down.
I would love to know if there are any other people on this app who have been through anything like this. It's so nice to know you're not the only one dealing with something.
Have a lovely day and good luck!
