My name is Amy. I'm 213 lbs. 5'4! This is the heaviest I've ever been. And I've had 4 kids, never was this heavy with my pregnancies. Due to some health issues like high blood pressure and low oxygen levels I need to lose the weight. My goal is to be 150lbs. Can anyone share of their stories with me. I got a gym membership Friday and I now have MFP. Ready for this weight loss journey.

Hi Amy. I was 5'4 until I went bald. Now I'm 5'3 and working on my fitness. Welcome to MFP! As Tiny_Dancer suggested, check out the many posts in the community.1

Don't quit, no matter what. Don't rely on the scale, rely instead on pictures and how your clothes fit/feel. You may lose weight then plateau or maybe gain a few lbs before dropping weight, again don't be discouraged. Log daily. Measure your foods and overadd calories to be safe. Don't eat back any calories lost via exercise. Check out tdeecalculator.net. Take before/after pics in your undies or nude and keep them to yourself as a gauge in the future and to help keep you on track.0

I didn’t cut out everything (food-wise). I still have drive-through like once a week but I just try leave like 500 calories on the table (daily) to hit my weight loss goals. Also, I don’t do any cardio at the gym but I do average like 3-4 miles walking daily. It’s also synced into my calorie counter on here. Which has helped. And trust me: I’m not blessed with great genetics or a high metabolism. Good luck. Message me if you have any questions. Peace.
