Deep one legged leg press

I tried deep one legged leg presses last week and found i was only able to press about one third that of my two legged numbers. At the deepest point i have great difficulty making the transistion. I was going to use them as a kind of squat fill in. My gf can one leg press almost half her two leg press numbers. In my case its like some muscles are not engaging like i feel they are with two legs. She does squat and i dont so likely what makes her one leg number ratio much better. I am right?

It's a new exercise for you. Keep doing it and you will get better. Stick with lighter weights until your alignment and range of motion are proper.

    Or do squats.

One of the first mistakes many people do is comparing what you vs. another person can do in training.

If you want to do anything better, use good form and usually do it more.

I agree. Squats will always benefit you more. And who cares about leg press weights? There's women who leg press as much as me but can't squat anywhere near as much. It's not a competition
