I am so confused. I was gone for the weekend and ate horrible. I still tried to eat in moderation but I had way more junk food than normal. .chocolate cake, cookies, chips and dip..things I normally don't eat a lot of. I weighed myself this morning and lost almost a pound since Friday!?
Could it be delayed weight loss from working out more/harder the last couple of weeks and making sure I drink enough water ?

Weight loss isn't linear so you may be seeing part of natural fluctuations.

As for what you ate, the important part for weight loss is overall calories. I aim for about 80% of calories from nutrient dense foods and 20% from treats. Some days may have more treats but it doesn't impact my weight loss trend.

Weight loss is determined by how many calories you eat, not what foods you eat. Did you log the foods you ate this weekend? How did they fit within your normal calorie target?

That said, weight loss is not linear and it's also not always going to show an immediate result based on recent meals. Weight loss is about maintaining a calorie deficit over time, and many of us bank calories during the week to enjoy on the weekends just as you describe. It doesn't deter weight loss as long as you are in a deficit over the week.

I definitely maintain a deficit during the week so that makes sense because I went over both days this weekend except I didn't have my food scale. I still measured liquid things but as far as other items that didn't have labels like cheese, meat, bread I guestimated. There's just so many things out there that say do this or that but the last 4 months I've been focused on deficit, drinking water and the last 4 to 5 weeks I've added work outs as I've noticed just losing weight doesn't make you look better lol. I was losing regularly and now my progress chart looks like little mountains but a downward trend, I will just keep on with what I've been doing and move on from the days I don't do so well
