Inches lost

I just measured myself and I found that I lost approx 2 inches from my hips and .5 inches from my thighs. Although i'm happy to be losing inches ( I really am) I lost no inches from my waist and stomach. Is this normal? I'm getting worried that I'm only going to lose from my lower body and look bigger from the upper half. Should I be doing something else? When I workout I either do zumba or threadmill (walk/ jog)

Your body will lose from wherever it pleases, unfortunately. My stomach is the last place to see losses (I'm under 20% body fat and still working on it). If you keep losing fat, it will come off from your upper half as well, but it may take longer.

Yup. You can spot train your muscles for strength, but you can't spot reduce fat. Your body will lost fat from wherever it wants. I understand your frustration as I've lost lots of inches all over my body, yet hardly anything at all from my giant calves! lol Just keep at it and it will come off eventually.

I guess you guys are right. I just dont want to have an unproportionate body where my lower half is smaller than my upper half
