Just joined - beginner's confusion

Hi all
I have just joined myfitnesspal as I'm keen to start my weight loss journey.
Here is my confusion: Once I have entered the required profile info, my daily summary shows: 13,170 cal net consumed*.
I would have expected to see something around 1500 cal. Can anyone shed some light on any number conversions that I am unaware of?
many thanks

I think you might have a portion logged incorrectly somewhere (like 10 instead of 1). It happens sometimes because if you have the commas and periods mixed up.0

If you make your diary public then we might be able to see where the error is.0

Check this. If you are using 1,0 to mean 1.0, as is common outside the US, MFP might be reading it as 10 and throwing off your totals. With a private diary, we can't check.0 -
Thanks all
It was an input error, all fixed now and ready to go!
