*BLUSH*

I have weighed 183 for a very long time. Like many here I feel a bit stuck. I just opened my diary; suddenly I feel a bit naked! Which would be no thrill for anyone, I don't look _precisely_ like my picture. I am a 53 year-old guy.

I am pretty religious about entering my calories. I take what the elliptical (a Cybex 750) at the gym says I burned and multiply by 0.8 before entering the number into MFP. I make this adjustment because I don't believe the number...should I?

I realize that I am coming up short on a lot of days. It's just that I eat until I am satisfied and then stop. By NO means am I walking around with hunger pangs!

Any thoughts?

That's cheating by posting a youngster's picture!!

I'm 53 as well, 5'9" so pretty average height (for our generation anyway...). Currently 169lbs.

I do 5:2 fasting so I'm comparing weekly calories rather than daily:

Your weekly total would be 10990 (if you hit your target).
I lost most of my weight on 9700.
I'm currently losing slowly on 11200.
Maintenance calories for me are 12700.
(Net calories by the way as I eat back the vast majority of my exercise calories.)

Worth double checking your calorie intake (digital scales, minimum amount of "guestimating").
A bit more consistency hitting your targets will allow you to track your calories better over time and work out if you really are at maintenance and then you can adjust your calorie balance accordingly.
