well this last attempt didnt succeed. so now it is on to another one. for the first time over the weekend i felt "unhealthy" due to my weight. breathlessness, sore back, tired etc. so now another reason that this has to work.
this time i have started a proper blog. check it out at http://zorbaru.blogspot.com.au
ill be putting my thoughts there rather than here.
also feel free to friend me on here. i accept all requests0 -
I have only one suggestion don’t try to change everything at once. You don’t have to go from all the calories to 1500 and no exercise to 7 days a week. It will overwhelm you and make it very hard to keep up. Drop your calories to a level that would have you losing .5 or 1 pound a week and just start moving more. You have lots of kids take them for a short walk and just start moving. You can absolutely do this!1

Thanks Maggie but I'm the kind of person that needs to go all out or nothing. If I gradually build up to it I never get there.
I do the same with everything I do. I immerse myself in it completely.
However I am only set to half a kg per week (1 pound)0 -

Not trying to be mean, but this type of thinking is why people fail.
"Oh, I went over my 1,200, might as well just eat everything." (Ends up eating 3,000+ calories)
"I don't have time to go to the gym for an hour and half, might as well just sit in front of the TV and not do anything." (But could have squeezed a 15 minute walk in or done calisthenics at home)
"Oops, I forgot to log my lunch, might as well not log dinner. Or tomorrow. Or next week." (Stops logging, starts over eating, starts gaining weight.
You don't have to be prefect, you just have to be better then you were yesterday. Progress, not perfection.

That's not what I mean by all out or nothing though. I meant as a whole not individual aspects. I'm currently trying to lose Weight so I will do everything that it revolves around. Fitness lifting cardio all of it.
I believe my issues in previous recent attempts have been the motivation. I've felt like I needed to do it for my wife rather than for me. This time it's for me.
I can't ease in to things. I immerse. My issue had always been commitment. And not just to this but to all things.0
