Pure Barre for Weight Loss?

Hello, I recently started Pure Barre and I absolutely love it! I am 5'4.5 and 146 pounds. I am looking to lose about 15-16 pounds and I am looking for advise or encouraging stories of women with similar height and weight who were able to lose weight and tone up from Pure Barre.
I currently do Pure Barre 4-5 times a week and ride on the Peloton bike for 20 minutes 3-4 times a week. I eat very clean, but I eat around 1800-2000 calories a day. I understand that I would need to eat around 1,400-1,500 calories a day to lose weight, but I would love to hear recommendations for how many times a week I should do Pure Barre for optimal weight loss (1.3-1.6 pounds a week), how many times I should do cardio and what would be the ideal calorie range. Thank you everyone!

It really doesn't torch calories the way the internet claims that it does. I usually only burn 250-300 calories for a 50 minute class and I definitely weigh more than you.
You will get stronger though!
As far as weight loss goes, it depends on how many calories you eat compared to how many you burn throughout the day. No one exercise program is best for optimum weight loss1 -

I assumed I was burning around 250-300 calories a class, so that doesn't surprise me. I am hoping that 20 minutes of HIIT spinning sessions 4x a week might increase the calories burned per day. Did you find that you were losing inches and toning from Pure Barre? And are you incorporating other forms of exercise during the week? I am currently eating 1,800-2,000 calories a day, but starting next week I will be eating around 1,400-1,500 calories in order to jump start my weight loss.0 -
You lose weight in the kitchen, not at the barre or on the bike.
"Clean eating" means nothing if you are not accurate with your intake. You have very little to lose so not only is the process slower, your margin for error is smaller.
I recommend a food scale.3 -

I agree, step one is portion control, then timing to keep your body in a calorie burning state at all times which is what gets your metabolism to stay at a calorie burning stage. Eat something every2-3 hours to constant burn calories without every going into a starvation mode which takes what ever you eat and turns it to fat stores in case it doesn't get more food which is controlled by leptin in your intestine which is the body's fat burning hormone that signals the brain as to keep burning calories or to trigger starvation mode in the brain.
Beware that measuring on a scale while doing pure barre will not be totally accurate as with weight training, dance, barre and most other exercises bc it will burn fat but build muscle and muscle weighs more that fat. Take measurements of areas you want to see changed in and record the changes in your body. For me it is flattening my abdomen, rounding my butt, and tightening and lifting my butt, and shaping my hips thighs and and without getting a weight lifters bulky body. I was a ballerina in a company and a soloist till I was 18 and no longer could dance bc I was in a major car wreck that destroyed the cartridge in my hips. Then I worked out at the gym for years and became a personal trainer until I had 3 children and the gym was virtually non existent so I just focused on eating healthy and smartly to maintain my small figure. I had to have lower back surgery to fixed a ruptured disc and I could no longer go to the gym bc I still have 2 bulging discs and could rupture them easily. With pure barre I've been able to tone up shape up and flatten my abdomen my focus to trim my waist is my current focus while building strength in my abs.
Focus on protein your body will crave it as you build muscle. Be sure to hydrate to oxygenate your muscles. While you burn calories and day you deplete the muscles and body of oxygen and while your body is working to replace the oxygen your metabolism is working bc your body is still working and burning calories long after your hour class.
If you take barre class with double tubes the increased resistance fatigues the muscles faster and burns more calories.

You do not need to do anything to keep your body in a calorie burning state. It is in a calorie burning state 100% of the time. If you don't feed it enough, it will tap into fat stores. Starvation mode as you've described it doesn't exist.1
