So I've been dieting and trying to eat very healthy and watch portion control, but no matter how much I try or how much water I drink, I'm still hungry. Any ideas?

Eat more protein - it'll help keep you full longer. :)

Your diary is closed. What does your typical day look like in terms of food?

    Unless protein doesn't satiate OP.

OP you'll have to play around with macros, foods and volumes to see what satiates you personally.

People find different things filling, so you might have to experiment a bit to find what works for you. Many people report they feel less hungry when they get enough protein. Others, like myself, feel really hungry if their diet is low fat and feel much better when they boost the fat in their diet. Other people find that fiber helps them. Looking at your trends over time, are you low in any of these?

Also, are you sure you're at the right calorie goal for you? If you choose an aggressive weight loss goal (like 2 pounds a week), MFP will recommend fewer calories. Choosing a more reasonable goal will allow you to eat more food each day.

My diet consists of salads, salmon, grilled chicken, brown rices and veggies. I just made up some smoothies for snacks containing fruits and almond milk. Would adding a protein powder supplement be sufficient?

First are you really hungry or just wanting to eat? There are times when I'm bored that it seems all I can do is think about my next meal/snack. Those times I really just need to find something else to do to occupy myself. Read, go for a walk, etc. depending on the situation.

THen I have days like today where I am hungry. For real, and with a cause. I've been more active today than usual and I'm the sort that needs to eat more in those cases. So I've planned the afternoon accordingly. I am planning snacks that are bulky without being high calorie. Apple slices w/ peanut butter, and a salad.

I agree that different foods are more filling for different people. I need fat, protein, and fiber to feel full. I also need a beer each night to feel happy, but that's different.

This sounds like your fat intake may be low. Check your macros, and if so perhaps try increasing it. Have some avocado on your salad. Have nuts for a snack. Use some full fat dairy. That could help.

I add protein powder and fat to my smoothies. I get the fat from coconut oil or a raw egg.

How many pounds do you want to lose total and what weekly weight loss goal did you chose?

I would like to lose at least 30lbs and my goal is 2 pounds a week because it wouldn't allow me my further than that. I've already lost almost 10 in about 2 1/2 weeks.

You're hungry because you're probably eating very little due to an aggressive goal.

Cool it down, take your time, eat more.

You're supposed to be hungry. You don't reduce hunger by drinking water. Some people confuse hunger with thirst and water will help with that, but if it is real hunger water won't help. Hunger occurs in you brain and is triggered by various things including reduced blood sugar. As long as you are eating low enough to lose weight you can expect to experience hunger.
