I just don't feel like writing down everything I do & eat. It's not that I'm trying to cheat. I no when I'm doing wrong & I no when I've relapsed. But my only problem is understanding Why I do it. Or getting past the point when I can tell I'm losing weight & keep going. I have no choice it's for my health my BP is high & I need it to go down. I feel like speaking it out helps but I end up gaining weight after losing

I understand. But here's the thing. It's hard to be overweight, and it's hard to log. Pick your hard. You will get results if you weigh and measure your food and you log. I know it seems overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad at all. Your "go to" foods are saved in your diary. Best of luck!

Honestly, you don't have to DO anything.

Entering you intake into the food log will give you definite answers. Weight and measuring your food will take the mystery out of calories and quantities. I've actually seen a theme with mine. For example, I realize I seem to be extremely hungry on Thursdays. I've noticed that by looking back on my logs. This way I save calories from earlier part of the week for a bit more intake on Thursday.

It helps to keep me on track and keeps me on point. I'll enter a food in my log if I'm not sure if I want to eat it. A lot of times just seeing it there will stop me from eating the item in question. Not always but then I am human. I also start to see a pattern when I've eaten certain foods or done certain exercises. I hope this will help you but I can understand that sometimes you don't like doing it. I can get in the same kind of mood. I started my journey on January 2, 2016. I was 378 Lbs. I have lost 182 Lbs then and I am feeling great and just broke under the 200 Lb mark. The system will work if you are willing to work the system.

I wish you the best on all of your endeavors.

On another hand I use the food diary to plan the food I'm going to eat in the day. This gives me some basis upon which to base a later decision that I will or won't add or change a food.

Think of it as a interactive video game and the logging won't seem like hard work.

You don't really have to write down everything you do. That's what the activity level setting is for. The food isn't as bad if you are in the habit of repeating meals. Almost all of my breakfasts are repeats and many of my lunches are Lean Cuisine so I just scan the barcode. The only time I have to keep the app open for any length of time is for homemade dinners.

Can you list three things that are working for you? Keep doing that.
