GERD and healthy low cal foods

My doctor believes I have GERD and is sending me to a specialist to get tested. So I'm working on cutting out a lot of the triggers of symptoms. Unfortunately, a lot of the triggers are things I used to help add flavor to low cal foods (like spices, hot sauce, acid like lemon etc). Also, I used to drink Diet Coke ALOT to keep me full and for the flavor and zero calories. I'm now struggling to stick to a deficit because I'm making excuses that the food is bland and boring and I need to add high cal stuff to it to make it taste good (like mayo, regular dressing etc) Anyone suffer from this and have any suggestions for foods that don't aggravate GERD but also are full of flavor and not super high calorie?

I use Mrs. Dash spice mixes a lot. Many different flavors are available and none of them have bothered me so far.

I've found that if I keep my consumption of caffine drinks and high fat/fried foods down, after the initial bland food eating calms the GERD down, I can go back to adding spices and hot sauce...in smaller amounts

When I keep the big gerd triggers out of my diet (fried foods, coffee, red wine, carbonated beverages), I can then consume the lesser triggers like hot sauce, raw veggies, cooked tomatoes. Losing weight has helped me some.
