Too good to be true?
So here I am again with a kind of bizarre question, but I hope you may help me on this matter.
How is it possible to lose weight following the day of a surplus, and is this weight going to show in the following days instead? Here's the deal:
My calorie goal is 1,200 kcal, my BMR is 1,455 kcal. I am 25 yo, 5'1 and 142 pounds.
Yesterday I completed my diary and was at 1,065 calories, because I was expecting to have wine at a poker night afterwards so I was keeping room. Edited: I don't usually do that, skipping food calories for alcohol, but I skipped the gym yesterday I was trying to minimize the damage (hint; did not work).
As usual, poker night did not go as expected, so I ended up having 3 glasses of wine, 2 cans of redbull (sugar free at least) and a chicken skewer with around 20 fries+ketchup (this is why you don't skip food calories for alcohol) around 4 in the morning, since we stayed up all night playing.
We came home and I knew I was going to be in a surplus and probably bloated when I would wake up this morning (read here: noon), but at my fantastical surprise, in a moment of pure bliss, I stepped on the scale to find out that I had lost 1 kg from the day before!
1. How is that even possible with all I took in the night?
2. Will that bite me back in the butt in the few next days?
3. Is it because we stayed up until 6 in the morning? Did that make me burn that much extra calories? We were really just sitting playing poker, I don't think shuffling cards is that exausting.
4. I had worked my glutes and thighs at the gym 2 days prior and was still pretty sore, would my muscles be THAT swollen?
5. I have a foolish, deep and cherished hope that you won't tell me the weight is coming to get me.
Thank you for your advices!

Most likely your body was, flushing itself of; previous water weight/waste & thus it's being, misconstrued as; fat loss!1

I say don't question it and roll with it.3

Alcohol is dehydrating as well. Probably fluid but hopefully it stays.2

Alcohol inhibits anti-diuretic hormone which causes your kidneys to produce larger volumes of urine.
You have most likely shifted some retained water from cells, made it into urine and peed a bit extra.
Whether or not your body hangs onto that water again as you drink will depend on your hydration status, electrolyte and hormonal balance.2 -
So based on the general trend, should I understand that I simply have a tendency to retain water? Is it normal retention or does losing 1 kg after one night of (mild?) drinking is a sign of too much retention? I don't salt my dishes but I eat a lot of premade soup which I know are the absolute sodium-devil.0

Weight loss IS NOT linear. Since water fluctuates on a day to day basis, you could be in deficit today and possibly gain water back that you may have lost drinking.

Your body deals with many items. Muscle injury is one. Menses is another. Stress is another. Sodium, alcohol, calories, heck, even fiber. Each one and more push water weight up or down depending on other stuff. You just got lucky and measured when it worked out to a big loss. Come back to tomorrow and tell us about the rebound.0

So we are tomorrow and I still kept my 1kg off. I am planing to hit the gym today and lift a little + run 5k so we'll see tomorrow if I am heavier!
Edited: Yesterday I went to a pool party and ate in a surplus again, lots of vodka and samosa/tempura shrimps. Maybe it's a sign from destiny that the 1kg is still off this morning and I should just live the party life forever *naively keeps dreaming on while putting her running shoes*
