I feel like all I do is think about food. Seriously. I'm obsessing over what I can eat, and what I can't. When I can eat, and when I can't. So I am alwayssss hungry because that's all I'm thinking about!!!!! So here is what I am going to try to do. I'm just going to eat whatever I want. BUT SMALL PORTIONS! It's all about portions. I'm hoping that maybe if I stop obsessing over the things I can't eat and just let myself have them(PORTION CONTROL) that I'll stop thinking about food and how miserable I am trying to "diet". I know there are going to be alot of people who probably don't agree with this. And they could be very right. But I'm just going to try it and see what happens.

    Hey!

I was the same way always thinking about when I can eat next and when is my next meal and what I'm going to eat. So I said enough is enough I was going crazy so I to I'm eating what ever I want with in reasons. My only thing is I really have to watch how much of the unhealthy food I'm eating. Just keep in mind just to have a few of the so called bad food, that what I have been trying anyway!

    Good luck!
  • I went through that myself. What will more than likely happen is you will be faced with decisions based on how hungry you are. If you are logging everything eating the proper portion you might be hungry and then you will start wanting to choose healthier foods that will fill you up more like foods with higher fiber. You will ask yourself, Is it worth it? Remember it is not a diet, it is for life. Portion control is key. Some days that snickers bar is worth it. Only you will know.

I am a firm believer in Portion Control. For years, I thought I was eating healthy, but never paid attention to portions. Once I started reading the labels and paying attention to serving sizes, it all came together and I finally lost weight. It is easier, too, because you can dish out your serving (5 pretzels from the bag, for example), then close the bag, eat your serving and get on with the rest of your day. It has truly taken the obsession out of it for me. It also makes it easier to log into MFP! Good luck!

My wife and I eat off of kids plates at the house. It really seems to help with the potion control.
    Good luck

I agree... once I stopped logging I stopped obsessing about food. I log every now and then if I feel like I've been over earting... just to keep my self in check. Overall, I've lost more since I stopped logging. Keep in mind you still need to make good decisions:flowerforyou: Good luck!

My doctor suggested more of a grazing diet for me. Eating about 6 times a day but small portions and snacks.
She said to make sure you have good snacks prepared in baggies. I.E. celery, apple, peppers, small cheese cubes.

It is entirely possible to work for you. When I lost 40 pounds a few years ago I was having my cake and eating it to...along with steak and potatoes...I just tryed to eat half of what I was eating before. Granted it took a little while for my body to realize that I did eat enough for dinner, but then my tummy accepted the fact and I didn't feel starving anymore. Every person is different mind, body and spirit...what works for some doesn't work for others...we are all just looking for that "sweet spot" that works for us. Good luck!

That;s what I'm going to try. I'm going to stop logging for a little. I'm just afraid that I'm going to gain weight but I guess if that happens then I'll have to start logging again. And Ijust feel crappy because its almost been a week since I went to the gym. Its just so HOT and my gym's ac is not working.

Keep us posted on how it's going for you. It sounds like a good idea, but I too am afraid to try it. I'm too chicken to try it before my wedding, because I HAVE to get this last 20 pounds off. That sucks about your gym's AC.....it never feels cool enough in my gym, I don't know if they are trying to save money or what, lol. Can you do some sort of work out later when it's a little cooler (depending on where you are of course, someplaces never get cooler).

Ive started doing the same thing. I use my 3 year old nephew's plates. They're A LOT smaller than our dinner plates so I cant fit too much on them.
