I've been adding green tea into my water intake since it's just hot water and a tea bag...no sugar or anything added but someone just told me it was wrong and shouldnt be added as plain water. I really dont understand since the nutritional value of the tea bag is 0 straight across. Does this make sense to anyone??? I can understand its no longer plain because of the tea bag but still there's no value to it.

This is a personal decision and some people have strong feelings. I know a few people who NEVER drink plain water and they are fine. Water is the only way to get 100% efficiency in hydration but nearly all water based drinks, even ones with caffeine, are 80% or better in efficiency (as compared to drinking straight water). Even coffee will not dehydrate you; that's a myth. It will make you pee quite often but it won't keep up with the consumption and you will get slowly hydrated. Weak tea is darn near 100%.

    Count it as water.

There is not enough caffeine in tea (or coffee) to dehydrate you unless you are drinking more than 5 cups a day and even than the drink will still hydrate you more than the caffeine will dehydrate you.

If you add anything to it, track those calories.

I count coffee, tea, juices, milk, etc as water intake. I do also count the calories associated with any of those drinks.
