Hello-

I belong to a weight loss group on Facebook... and TONS of people talk about skinny Fiber and what an awesome job it does aiding in their weight loss. I was wondering if anyone can really vouch for it? Its like $55 a bottle.... Would regular fiber supplements do the same???

  • $55 a bottle? Yeah that's a little too pricey for my taste haha. I use a natural fiber supplement called psyllium husk. It's a powder that you can add to protein shakes, oatmeal, eggs, anything really. You get a big bottle and it's like between $5-8 and lasts me at least a few months. Definitely worth looking into.

hmm fibre makes you feel fuller which is why it helps, it doesnt actually do anything magical, a meal with lots of veggies would help you more and you'd reap the benefit of more nutrients, psyillium husk is good , if you suffer with slow digestion do . not .take it , my body literally cannot process it and i end up in a lot of pain, bloated and feeling miserable which makes you want to eat bad food! eat less move more xx

Katie Katie KAtie...you know what Im going to say....

since i went on the vegetarian diet I dont have to worry a second about fiber....i usually get close to 50 grams of fiber a day..

just eating lots of fruits and great veggies..... it gets me plenty ...

I dont think supplements are the first move...if your diet doesnt get you the amount you need, then i guess a supplement would be in line!

you would be surprised at the amount you get just eating good food....

I have also seen all the before and after photos on her site about skinny Fiber...was wondering the same thing....however I have just been eating more fiber! I don't think a pill really could do all the weight loss the people advertise.....I wonder about the site

I joined that group for about 5 minutes--I thought it was for recipes. Saw all the ads for Skinny Fiber and left that group asap. Plus the moderator had to approve every post and I was told it could days for them to show up. No thank you. I'll stay full with my lean protein and healthy fats, and get my fiber naturally.

Hello all, I think I belong to the same group on FB that a lot of you are members of also. I decided to take the “90 day challenge” and am half way through my second bottle sadly with no real results. I do exactly as the directions/forums/posts say and drink plenty of water with it and I do not feel fuller at all.

I was hoping to take this so it could help “boost” my metabolism but not too much has happened for me there. I have not lost any of my cravings for sweets either. (another claim) I work out 5 days a week and burn anywhere from 600-1000 calories in a single session but have maintained the same weight.

I will take the remaining bottle along with logging in my food here. Calorie counting, a sensible diet with portion control, and heavy cardio seem to work best for me.

The upside to that website is that they have some amazing recipes that my wife and I are excited about trying. The host of the page is also very nice and she answers her customers really quick if they have an issue or question. My advice is do like all the others here and get your fiber naturally. Save your money. Hope this helps.

Now I'm confused. I have fibogel sachet to up my fibre - I have IBS and very slow digestion. Isn't fibre supposed to make things more regular? I have a lot of gluten free stuff which is low in fibre. The sachet's recommend 1-3 daily. I've started with 1 x

Yes, fiber does help with digestion. If you want more fiber, drop all the gluten free replacements like bread and start eating veggies. My wife is gluten free and the majority of her diet is hummas and veggie related,

I belong to that group, but there's no way I would spend that sort of money on a bottle of pills. It's a multi level marketing scheme, so everyone down the ladders gets a cut of each sale.

I also noticed, that not many people say they don't work, she only posts the success stories, i'm guessing, she deletes the people who say it doesn't work :ohwell:

Thanks, unfortunately a lot of green veggies set off my IBS cramps, as does garlic and onions. I truly miss hummus! Mostly i have rice/ rice crackers/eggs/meat and salad. I also can only have tiny bits of dairy in my diet. I followed FODMAP for a while then introduced different foods. Got a handle on most things that set me off- but fibre was recommended. Is it likely to slow digestion or help it?
Thanks for you input- still trying to get a handle on my ibs, not yet losing weight due to it x

Any fiber can do this. go for lower cost options. A bottle of now foods glucommann lasts 2 months and it is only 10 dollars. Even metamucil will work. Buy the packets and take them with you to use before tempting situations. $55 make it seem like fiber is something they invented. It is basic. I also make my own fiber concoctions at home and take them with me.
