My work out routine (and it may work for you, too!)

I am paying tons of money by going to the gym because if I didn't go, I wouldn't be posting this.

This is what I do outside of the gym. It keeps the work out different. If you do the same thing every day, your body will get used to it and you don't want that to happen.

What you need:

A road to work out on.
A bike
an MP3 player or smartphone. I use my iPhone.

Saturday and Sunday - I get up at sun up and ride my bike. Pick a different route each time, so it doesn't get boring.
Monday - Walk/run intervals. Pick a different route each time, so it doesn't get boring.
Tuesday - Run. Pick a different route each time, so it doesn't get boring.
Wednesday - Walk/run intervals. Pick a different route each time, so it doesn't get boring.
Thursday - Run. Pick a different route each time, so it doesn't get boring.
Friday - Walk/run intervals. Pick a different route each time, so it doesn't get boring.

You can do this with a regular MP3 player, but I use my iPhone for the following reason:

I use an app called Map My Fitness. It can track my bike rides and my runs on the weekends, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
I also use another app called Couch-to-5k for the interval walk/run. It tells you when to walk and when to run. Each week, it gets a little harder. I use it Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
I use an app called Pandora to listen to music.

Back in November, I would never have all this working out. Now that my trainer helped me lose 35 pounds since March, it has become more important to me to lose the other 25 pounds I have left.

I hope it works for you, too!
