HRM owners -- particularly those with the Polar HRMs!

So, in the process of my trying to figure out a solution to the issue of my Polar FT4 displaying crazy HR drops and spikes, I discovered a setting on the watch that I hadn't known about/paid attention to before. It's called "Heart Touch" and, upon looking on the website what exactly it is and then testing it out during my workout this morning, I thought I'd pass the info. on to others who also might not have known. Forgive me if this is already widely and commonly known and I'm just slow, lol...but for those who might be as slow as me ;)...

So, basically, it allows you to simply bring the face of your watch up to your transmitter during a workout in order to check the time without having to press any of the watch buttons. According to the site, I think it's supposed to let you switch between other displays (like calories burned, HR target range, etc.) as well, but I was only able to get mine to show the time.

It's supposed to be a slightly quicker, more convenient way of switching between displays while you're in the middle of -- I'm sure an especially intense -- workout.

Anywho, just thought I'd pass along for those who don't already know! :)

Good to know! I just got the Polar FT4 and I'm loving it. I am burning about 100 more calories per workout than previously thought.
