Vicious cycle

I'm stuck in this horrible cycle. I gain weight and then end up being too self conscious about how I look to go out and do stuff. It just makes me want to stay at home and eat more which just makes me put on more pounds. How do I snap out of it?

    Get the food out of the house. That way if you want to eat you have to leave. Maybe a bit drastic but do something to force yourself out. Getting and staying active is the key. I find I don't have time to snack as much.

    When that happens look at the food that you're going to eat or are contemplating to eat. Ask yourself these questions:
    Is it worth it?
    Is it worth destroying the progress I am making?
    Is it worth not being able to get to my goal?
    Will it help me get to my goal?

    And when you're emotional find an outlet find something to do or something healthier to eat. Things you can do are exercise, draw, journal your feelings, or find a friend to hang out with who you can talk to about things.
