Good Fats & Good Oils ... recipes?

My appointment with my doctor went well yesterday. She gave me a tape measure and said my exercise routine is more focused on building muscle so I probably won't notice a weight difference but instead a waist decrease. This will help me with that. But then she said my diet is also playing a role. Eliminating sugars and avoiding bananas and bread is a great idea, but limiting my calorie intake is pointless unless I still get the right things.

she suggested "good fats" and "oils", mentioning avocados as one thing. Does anyone have any good recipes they'd like to share that are under this criteria? :)
