Been on the weight loss thing for a while using other apps thatvwere to say then least very clunky. Like the simplicity of being able to scan in the barcodes and that it links to my Polar Flow account. Any way I put on a load of weight when I changed jobs and only now starting to lose it through watching the old calorie intake and running. (Completed couch to 5K last year then winter came). On 245lbs aiming for around 160 at a rate of 2-4 lbs per week.

    Hey! I'm Shana.
I'm living with fatty liver, insulin resistance, medicated depression and anxiety, and hypothyroidism.
I'm what's considered morbidly obese and am working for a healthier lifestyle and hoping for some weight loss to boot.
One main goal is to learn to keep each meal between 30 and 40 carbs. This was prescribed by my endocrinologist and I've found that when I am able to accomplish it I feel much better.
Another goal is to limit fat intake to ease stress on my liver. I've already cut out alcohol and as many liver taxing medications as possible.
My Endo also recommended 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 5 times a week. I'm using my Fitbit to try to achieve this, but it's at the bottom of my list of goals for a reason. I know the food is what will make the biggest difference and give me more energy for exercise.
I'd love to find accountability partners and friends with whom to share this journey.
