New to this program.

Ok - so I am fluffy and short and tired of it. A friend told me about this app and now I have it. Since I got married (yes I blame my husband on this lol) I have gained about 40 lbs. :( I use to exercise a lot but not any more. Yes, I know I need to but, my time doesn't allow it. LITERALLY! Ok, so I am making excuses for myself. My day starts at 4 am with my husband leaving the house, I take a shower get dressed, make his meals for next day, make my mom's b'fast, take it to her (~20 mi. away) go to work, stop by her house, make her supper, go home (615 pm) have supper done, eat, clean up and go to bed ~9 and start the next day over again. Everybody tells me to take time for me - but with my 86 year old mother - I need to take care of her too, otherwise she will not cook for herself. Does anyone have any good recipes or suggestions for b'fast, lunch, snake, shakes ANYTHING that you could help me with? When I lost my weight before, it was very strict and I had no one to cook for. All I would eat is an egg in the morning w/cheese, lunch 2 string cheese w/4 crackers, and supper tofu soup w/spinach. People tell me I need to eat and not really cut back. but "psychologically" one would think....eat more....gain weight. So with all of you experts out there......any help or suggestions? :)

Thank you!

You do sound like a very busy lady with A LOT of responsibility! A couple of suggestions:

    1. Can you get your mom enrolled in some kind of food program? Meals on Wheels, etc?

    2. Can your husband contribute by making meals (his own and/or yours) and/or cleaning up, considering that it sounds like you both work, and you take care of your mother?

Either one of these two things would free up a bit of time everyday for you to cook healthy food for yourself and/or workout.

Eating very little is not really a great way to go about it. Using MFP how it is designed is the best way for a lot of people.
