Green Coffee Bean Extract - Thoughts

Does anyone have any comments or experience with Green Coffee Bean Extract as an appetite supressor? I am having lots of trouble with feeling satisfied after a meal and was hoping this could help with eating less.

    It won't help, save your money.

    I find a walk for 15 minutes a good pace is a great appetite suppressant. High fibre foods also work.

    How many calories are you eating a day?

    I eat loads. Have stopped counting calories. I just can't seem to get full after a meal. Maybe I'm eating too fast? For instance yesterday I had 4 slices of toast with tomato and cheese, a large tube of Pringles plus a bowl of oats. I was still hungry afterwards.

    Forget the scam extract.
    Try bulky high fiber foods. A huge bowl of spinach.
    Also high protein things like egg whites or chicken

    Have you tried eating more protein and fat? What about less processed foods? And the pill is a joke. Save your money.

    I tried it because I am always hungry, not just hungry, hangry, nauseated, obsessed, and growling (though now I'm off the prednisone so maybe that will improve). The coffeebean extract did nothing for me, at all. Fiber supplements can help some.

    Run the numbers and count the calories for a while. Maybe you aren't eating enough for maintenance.

    I would agree, don't even bother with the pill. I'd personally look at the types of foods you are eating. Increase proteins and fiber, and vary fats/carbs to see which foods fill you up. I know I are filled with proteins, fruits and starches but nothing with fat.;... while others reduce carbs and increase fats for satiety. It's a crap process, but playing around with macros is probably going to be the most beneficial.

    Try drinking at least a glass of water before and after eating. Also, you might like volume eating. Basically make meals that take up a lot of space usually by adding more veggies. For example, you can make a HUGE salad by using a whole bag of lettuce, other veggies, add chicken or what ever you want. It takes a while to crunch through it all, takes up a lot of space, and veggies are high in fiber. I'll also add riced cauliflower to my oats to bulk those up as well. My guess is that your stomach might be full, but your brain isn't. Gum is my friend in those situations.

    My husband (he's a logger) has been eating salads for breakfast because it is the only thing that keeps him full from 7am until noon! He eats romain, onion, tomatoes, meat, cheddar or parm and italian...sometimes he will add leftovers from the night before too like roasted broccoli, roasted potatoes, last nights left over pork tenderloin...he loves it!

    Why do you need to feel full?

    To point out, I would feel hungry if I at that too... almost no protein and very little fiber.

    It's really easy to overeat carbs and not feel satisfied until you're uncomfortably full. Try and add protein and fibre like others have suggested. 4 pieces of toast & a thing of Pringles is a pretty nutritionally void. I'm not surprised you don't feel full/satisfied.

    If you feel often hungry after eating you might be dehydrated. I had the exact same problem, i was allways hungry after i ate dinner. Then i startd logging my water (for other reasons), and the problem magically fixed itself. I now try to drink atleat (minimum, often more) 1l of water during the evening after dinner (and a lot more water during the day). It really helped me.

    needs to be roasted more and finely ground , and used in an espresso maker.

    Thanks for the feedback. The capsules seem to be working, even though it might just be a placebo effect. I'm also cutting out sugar and starch and have started to exercise. Will keep you updated.

    tried it (capsules) couple of years ago. no effect, positive or negative, for me. three-month trial.
