Need to Lose 25lbs for a Surgery

Two weeks ago, I went to see a surgeon about a hernia. While the hernia needed repair, he was most concerned with my weight. I weight 265lbs (I'm 5'4"), which is the heaviest I had ever been. He said I had to lose weight before he'd even consider surgery. That evening, I joined MFP.

Today, I went back for a CT scan and another consult. So far, I've lost 10lbs. The surgeon was happy with my progress, but wants me down to 230 before he does surgery.

While the surgery scares me, I know it's necessary. I'm going to keep up with what I've been doing to keep losing, and try to be patient. I'm also not stopping at 230, but it's my next goal.

All motivation and support is greatly appreciated!
