I have time and time again blame others for my yo yo dieting and not being able to stick to a schedule. I have balloon up to 199lb. I lose 5lb and gain them back. This time I have fallen into great depression because of my weight. I am serious about not making any more excuses and just ready to put the work in. I am tired of feeling sorry for myself, crying, and feeling unhappy. I know that my weight has alot to do with it. I never been person to post but I am willing to try new things that will keep me motivated to lose weight and get healthy. I am going through a rough time in my life. My mother passed away april 1 2013 and my sick father has moved in with me. Its been hard to deal with all these changes and focus on myself. I know i need put others a side and focus on myself. I look forward to traveling this journey.

Hi there,
Well done for making the first step by logging onto MFP. I'm very sorry to hear about your mum and that your dad is also poorly. I'm sure that does make it very difficult for you to have a moment to yourself, but not impossible :-)
Take it one step at a time. Maybe take 10/15 minutes at the start of your day to plan out or prep your food. Planning ahead helps especially if you are too busy to think during the day. Take it one day at a time at the start - complete that day and be proud and start again the next day, soon you'll have done a week, then 2...
Make a small goal initially, one that you feel you can achieve, even if its not weight related, but say, have 20 mins to get some fresh air each day, or have a week choosing healthier snacks - small achieveable goals at the start will help give you the confidence to carry on.
Make sure you get into the habit of logging everything! It gets easier the more you do! And make sure you have kitchen scales to weigh your food - our eyes are not good portion sizers!
Very best of luck to you and feel free to add me if you need some more support.0
