First- Thanks! I've been doing pretty good here thanks to MFP and all you guys. I started C25K and love it. Here's the problem: Yesterday, I was showing one of my kids how to do a cartwheel and pulled my right hamstring. So lay it out for me, all you fitness smarties. How long until I can resume C25K? Anything I can do to speed healing? Thanks in advance :)

rest- usually ice- but honestly ice or heat- which ever one feels better. Ice generally reduces swelling- heat to improve blood flow.

A lot of experts recommend ice the first 24 hours then heat after that- personally I do what feels good for my body- which is usually ice- within reason.

Rest- walking- gentle stretching- hand massaging- all good things. I'd walk if you could and you're not limping- otherwise- just rest.

    Don't stretch.

Usually what speeds healing of torn muscles is anything that increases circulation.. namely warmth, frequent movement, and gentle stretching. Avoid anything that hurts it.
When to resume running? Whenever it doesn't hurt. :+1:
