My husband makes me a homemade pizza - using pre-made wheat dough. How do I figure the calories for this pizza accurately? It's a 12" cheese with pineapple and green peppers.

    Weigh and log the ingredients.

    Use the recipie builder.

Plug each ingredient separately into MFP. You can use the recipe function if it's the same every time so all you have to do is add the Pizza as a whole in the future. Plus it helps you divide it into servings (like 1/8 slices) that you can add.

Homemade is the easiest to get calories for. Weigh the ingredients as you build it. Much easier than restaurants where they may not stick to the prescribed menu or don't put out nutritional info.

I built a recipe for my crust and sauce, since that's the same every time. Then I add separate entries each time for cheese and toppings, since that's variable.
