Just started a new exercise routine, getting heartburn for the first time

I understand that eating large meals or laying down right after a meal can cause heartburn.

But I'm getting this at the end or an hour after I workout, serval hours after I've eaten. In fact eating something actually helps!

Any ideas about this? I've read a couple of articles that a big part of it is jostling and causing stomach acid to slosh around - I've also hear that biologically when you're doing new exercises, physiological changes can take place that lead to stomach upset and that it will go away in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone else experience this, and what did they do to help?

Thanks!

I get heartburn frequently from medication so not exercise related. But before I go to the gym or go for a walk I take two tums and I'm usually good to go.

I've never encountered that from exercise but it sounds like it could be worth a question to a doctor to make sure all is ok.

Not an expert, but I had a heart attack following exercise thought I was in the best shape of my life. Women show different signs so just to be safe I'd get it checked soon.
