Polar M400 H7 STRAP POSSIBLE INACCURACY????

I have a new Polar M400 that comes with the H7 chest strap and I believe it's inaccurate an over calculating calories. Today I saw the calories from 201 to 205 ..my old Ft7 was accurate... Have anybody experienced this??? I hate to spend so much money on something that may be working wrong

Depends what you're using it for.

Personally I'll always assume that an HR based estimation is wrong.

AnvilHead's post is very useful. Calorie-burning measures are always an estimate. Even machines (like cars) burn fuel at slightly different rates despite being physically identical. Humans differ in all sorts of ways. Your heart-rate isn't going to show all the factors that contribute to the speed at which calories are burnt by you.

What makes you assume that the calorie estimation on the FT7 was accurate?

I think the answer is that neither is 100% accurate. Why do you think the FT7 was the more accurate of the two?
