Periods and Dieting
I really feel like we should be allowed more calories on our periods. I don't know if it's a science thing, but come on, we're literally shedding parts of our body! Don't we need more nutrients?? (And when I say nutrients I actually mean ice cream). I just needed to take this moment to complain. Anyone else in the same boat?

There's is a scientific reason why you can feel starving hungry some days every month, and it's a good idea to cut yourself some slack and eat at maintenance on those days, however it is only a few days not a week.0

I'm also in the "eat everything that's not bolted down" phase of my period, five days into starting calorie counting. I've been living up to my username today.0

I wouldn't think it is the shedding part that requires extra energy, I would think it was the building a new lining part that you don't really think about. But them hormones sure are a PITA.
