Does MFP have a food database?

Hello. I'm a new user to MFP and I have a question. Up until now I've been manually entering nutrition info for each food based on the nutrition labels on foods or Googling for nutrition info. However it would be much easier if I could tap into a MFP food database to get this info. Is there such a database and if so, how I can access it?

MFP has a Food Database. You can browse the Food Database only on the web version by navigating to FOOD > Database, but you can not enter a food item directly into your Diary from that web page. The only two functions you can do from there is browse the database, or edit most of the food items you find from that web page.0
