Hello everyone! I have a question to ask. Is it better to eat before you workout, or will you not burn as many calories if you do not. I wake up at 5:30 and start walking/jogging on my treadmill for an hour before I go to work. I do not eat before I work out. So my question is: Should I eat something before?

The energy it takes to jog has to come from somewhere; if you don't eat your body has to use it's fat reserves.

Exercise will burn same amount of calories no matter what time of day.

I run occasionally fasted but if I was doing an hour I'd have to eat first.

However, if it works for you then don't eat. The number of calories you burn won't be affected.

Eat, fuel your body some it'll only help you have a better workout. Fasted cardio was a fad but studies have shown there is no real significant difference in fat burning by doing so
