Any idea why I'd be coughing from French Vanilla but not coffee?

So I can drink coffee, tea and every other caffeinated beverage, but once I have a french vanilla I start coughing after every sip.

    French vanilla what? That's a flavor, not a beverage.

    I'm not sure what you are talking about, but maybe you are allergic to an ingredient in whatever it is.

    If it makes you sick, just don't drink it.
