Do you sometime weight your food after cooking it, because sometimes I get a different amount. Thanks

I weigh before as it's more accurate - food weight changes during cooking as you will lose water (like in the process of cooking meat) or gain water (like when you cook rice)

The cooking time, and method, will affect end weight - rare steak will weigh more than well done steak for example, despite starting with the same amount of raw steak.

If you baked it the weight would have gone down. If you steam or boil it it may have gone up or stayed similar...

    Go with raw weight.
