protein shake ok during pregnancy?

hey guys! im not pregnant yet lol but just wondering, is it okay to continue taking a protein shake IF i become pregnant? i dont want to stop my calorie surplus im on right now because i worked hard for a month to gain 8lbs. Part of my gain was from my 650 calorie Optimum Nutrition Pro Gainer. Have any of you ladies taken protein shakes while prego? Plz advise. Thank you!
