Blood sugar diet?

Hi,
Recently I've been eating well (clean and fewer calories than my TDEE) but weight loss is very slow and some weeks nothing changes. I am on the verge of pre diabetes (runs in the family and have had a few months of terrible eating thanks to my depression/anxiety).

I am curious about this blood sugar diet where you eat 800 cals every day for a few weeks to quickly bring some weight off before moving forward and bringing up your calories.

Can I ask if anyone has had success on this or if they have an opinion? I'm wary as it's very low...

Thanks!

Don't do it. VLCDs are a bad idea.

Don't do it! 1200 is the lowest we should eat at.
Have patience, eat at calorie deficit and the weight loss will happen. You don't say if you have much to lose or what height/weight you are?
