iHeart App anyone?

I downloaded the iHeart (HRM) app for my ipod, but am definitely unsure of how accurate it is. It is saying that I burned 106.6 cals in just under 10 minutes. That is with a starting heart rate and checked twice.
Do any of you use this app.....and did I just check it too many times? I'm new to the whole heart rate monitoring thing.
