Which is better? Eat dinner followed by a 20-25 minute walk OR walk for 20-25 minutes then have dinner.

If I'm hungry now, the first one. If I can wait to eat, the second one.6

I don't think it matters unless walking right after you eat makes you vomit.1

Whichever suits you at the time. There is no other appreciable difference.1

Walk first. I don't like walking on a full stomach and sometimes it can be an appetite suppressant and you may not want as much.2

Personal preference. But for me its a walk after dinner0

It does not matter.

It depends what time the sunsets, I don't really like walking in the dark so if it's still light then I'll walk first and eat later but if the sun will be up for a little longer and I'm hungry I'd eat dinner first.1

Depends on the dog walking conditions. If its raining and I don't want to go out we go after dinner. If it is half way decent out we might go before. If he's driving me crazy we might go before. Tuesdays and Thursdays he's been at home all day alone and dinner isn't until at least 9:30 so he gets walked before.0

I walk first then have dinner, but it really doesn't matter. That's just what works for my schedule.0

Calorie-wise, it doesn't matter. I personally like to walk after. I hate sitting around with a full stomach.0

Makes no difference- whatever fits your schedule better.0

Same. I love a walk after dinner. But in terms of effect upon weight loss, it makes absolutely no difference.0 -
id walk first i like to put off food as long as i can so i have more calories for the entire day. cant stand running out early id be more likely to walk further0

Personnally I'd do the walk first, then have dinner. Reason being that by the time I've made dinner then eaten it I might not feel light walking anymore. Doing the walk first means you've already got the calories "banked" to eat straight after rather than eating the calories first and being in debt.0

I'd either walk first or wait an hour before walking after I ate. There have been occassions where my dinner makes it uncomfortable while walking, especially if it's something like fish.0

As a Type 2 diabetic, I prefer walking after a meal. I've found it helps with my blood sugar.0

I walk first because I don't like walking on a full stomach, but that's just a personal preference. There is little difference.0

Same here but it's dinner, so... really wouldn't matter to me. For me it all depends on timing and if I'm hungry or not anyway.
I very rarely have a full stomach so it's not really an issue for me, lol.0
