Step tracking

So originally for tracking steps I had the Pacer app synced to my MFP account, but I didn't trust it because it seemed like it was giving me way too many extra calories to eat. I then started using a Fitbit, but I'm still not too trusting of its accuracy. Lately I'm using the step counter that comes in the iPhone's health app, but now I'm wondering if it's translating steps to too little calories. Anyone know which works best?
