Woo! Me and my friend atarted the couch to 5k. We have finished it! We achieved what we thought was the unachievable! Feeli NV fantastic. Although the scales only tipped 2.5kgs for me my body shape and muscle mass is completely different. We are now training to run our 1st 7k fun run. They have an 11k but i dont think we can get ipto that in the 8 weeks we have left to train. I have 2 small children and a fifo husband so im very limited with when i can go and run but have been working it out along the way.
I do have a question, we currently run 4.5kms and walk probably 1.5kms per workout. Any tips to increase our runs to 7kms gradually without making it so hard we are discouraged? Thanks!!!

Congratulations on completing C25K. You are already familiar with the concept of gradually increasing your running, so set up your own plan that gets you there by race day. You can do it!3

The Bridge to 10K plan is only 6 weeks long3

^What he said, I'd do the 10K trainer.3

First off, slow down. You are probably trying to push the pace more than you are ready for.
Since you can already run 5 km. without walking, rather than Bridge to 10k, which goes back to short walk/run intervals, you might look up One Hour Runner instead. B210k felt to me like going backwards. Or just run slowly as far as you can, walk 50 steps, then start running again, then walk when you need to. You might check out Higdon's plans for a general idea on how to increase your distance.2 -
Good job! I am on week 41

You could start halfway through c210k. Week 9 (of 14) Day 1 will get you started right where you're at now and you could do a 10k in 6 weeks1

Hey everyone, we are currently upto wk4 of the 5 to 10k bridging app and your right spiriteagle99 it did feel like a step back! But we are still going and slowly increasing. Confident we will smash our 7k fun run event in 2 weeks time. Then to maintain fitness and start training for our 10k event in october! A bit addicted0
