Protein Bars

I would really like to make my own protein bars as I find them awfully expensive for the good quality ones. I have seen recipes but most of them don't seem to pack a high protein punch . Anyone have any recipes where each bar gives you at least 20 grams of protein but still not extremely high in calories ? The recipe doesn't have to be vegan or anything special

    Serves: 8 bars
    Ingredients
½ cup all natural nut butter (I used peanut butter. Use what you have.)
    ½ cup oat flour
    ½ cup honey
2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
2 sheets of wax or parchment paper

Add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
Stir ingredients together with a spoon until well-combined and a dough forms. You might need to use your hands to make sure it's all combined.
Put dough on top of wax/parchment paper and use hands to flatten out.
Using a knife, cut out eight bars.
Using your other piece of wax/parchment paper, cut out eight pieces similar to the shape of the bars.
Place each bar atop a matching paper and place in a large Tupperware. Place in the refrigerator for about an hour

^^ I like this one from "the blissful balance.com" I've done it without as much honey and a little more nut butter it comes out good. The website "fresh fit n healthy" has many low cal protein bar recipes too!

I find www.theproteinchef.co to be pretty good.

My experience has always been that I either end up with something that tastes like a hockey puck or something that tastes devine but is 300 cals for 5g of protein and a shed load of fat and carbs.

I will follow this thread with interest.
