Weighing Times

Could just moving around and being awake for a few hours cause weight to fluctuate?
I'm just confused because I'm pretty consistent with my weight loss each week and each week I always weigh myself at the same time, first thing in the morning and before eating or drinking. Today I weighed myself after about 4 hours of being awake and running errands, though I didn't eat or drink prior. I didn't lose as much this week but could the time difference in weighing be why?
Thanks!

I definitely think weight fluctuations can happen in a few hours, especially for women. However, something does have to happen to cause that. So you either need to be eating/drinking for weight gain, or evacuating fluids/waste for loss. Or maybe you took a shower and didn't account for weight added with wet hair. Or maybe the weight of your clothing varies throughout the day.
If I want reliable measurements, I have to make sure it's after my morning *ahem* evacuations, but before a shower and most fluids. I wear light PJs or workout clothes and no shoes.
If you've controlled for all of that, your scale might need calibration, or it may just be a bad scale and need to be replaced. Try stepping on and off a few times in a row and see if the reading fluctuates. This is a dead giveaway.
Above all, try not to be a slave to the scale. The human body is very complex, and just because the number on the scale is fluctuating, it doesn't mean you are any less disciplined or healthy.

Yes. There are so many factors at play here you cannot get fixated on the number on the scale. What is important is a general trend over time. If you are seeing movement in the direction desired, keep up your routine.0

Unless you eat or drink something, your weight won't increase.0
