Do you measure calories in meats after they've been cooked or before?

When I buy meat to eat it lists the calories per 4 ounces but it never says 4 ounces pre cooked or post cooked, which one do I go by?

If it's not specified, the default is the raw/uncooked weight. If you do weight it cooked, just make sure to use the appropriate database entry...i.e. grilled chicken breast or something of that nature.0
