Hi Everyone!
I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue. I LOVE playing racquetball and I try to go once or twice a week just at the high school by our house. My husband and I really enjoy a good 30min-hour long game. I had two surgeries late last year and I am just getting back into exercising and playing regularly. The only thing is my heart rate is INSANE! I have a fast heart beat normally... resting at around 82. I am being monitored by a cardiologist as well and have a month long session with a heart rate monitor coming up later this month. My only thing is my hubby DOESN'T even break sweat most games. He has always been an athletic guy but doesn't work out of eat well at all lol. He's just naturally pretty athletic from his youth. So comparing him to myself is not effective since I'm literally trying to catch my breathe and he's still hitting the ball lol.
So my question is if you've ever played does your heart rate soar! I hit 196 yesterday after a VERY competitive round with the hubby. I've mentioned it to my doctor since something I'll hit 200-202BPM. He doesn't seem concerned.... but damn do I feel like I might die after the game lol.
I'm 28, female, and my max rate is supposed to be 192. I exceed that almost every time I play.

If your doctor isn't concerned then I wouldn't be.
The more you play, the fitter you will get.0 -
People have small, average, or big hearts that beat at all speeds. Its not unusual.0
