Imagine if someone asks u for a date or something material and u don't want that, how would u turn someone down as nicely as possible?

maybe 'can we have a rain check?' rather than say you're not in the mood. Unless its something you don't ever want to happen - different answer then obviously.

I usually just say no thank you or explain that I'm unable to make it. If it's something that you absolutely do not want to happen, like a date, then it would be completely different and I would explain why. I often apologise but I don't know why

I would say no thank you and explain that I'm not attracted to them in that way.

no thanks, i think we're better off as friends.
  • Thankfully, and not surprisingly I don't exactly have people beating my door down trying to hang out. But if I did I would just be like, "Sorry! I have a lot to do today! I will call you when I am free! Thanks for the invite!" If they persist I would invite them over just when I happen to need a hand with laundry, dishes etc.... and be like, "Oh, would you be a dear and help me out right quick? It will only take a minute!" When that minute turns into like, 2 hours later I assume the lesson will have been learned.
