Weight loss journey and the roadblock of the flu

Options
Question: how much does the flu tend to set you back on your goals?

What tips do you have for getting back on top of your a game when you start feeling better?

Right now I just feel bloated and fat and low energy. So scary to think your hard work can disappear when you get sick. Trying to remind myself that it's just temporary and I can get back into momentum.

Ugh, being sick is the worst. It is just temporary, though! It takes a lot longer than a week to reverse any progress, so give yourself time to rest and recuperate so that you can jump right back in when you're ready.

I just went through this with a stomach bug. Didn't hydrate enough and I'm definitely paying for it, but jumping right back on the wagon now.

    Hope you feel better soon.

I tend to eat a lot when I am sick hoping it makes me feel better. I had to learn to think that it's not a set back, I'm fueling up for some good lifting sessions. The extra calories while I am sick help my body recover and help to build muscle when I finally make it back to the gym. It's not an excuse to go crazy, but it keeps me from mentally beating myself up over it.
